Frequently Asked Questions
Do Queens Sign a Contract?
No, our queens are not required to sign a contract. The scholarship money will be paid directly after crowning. We expect our queens to promote their titles by serving in their community. We expect our queens to return the following year to crown their successors.
Is this a Glitz Style Pageant?
No, we are not a glitz-style pageant. This means we do not allow flippers, wiglets, or falls. We also do not allow glitz modeling routines. We want each contestant to show their individual style through their modeling, hair, makeup, and wardrobe. If you still have questions or concerns, please email the state office.
Does ALSM Lead to a National Pageant?
No. ALSM is strictly a state-level pageant open to girls in grades PreK-College to 8th grade who live, or attend school, in the State of Alabama.
If I Win Can I Compete in Other Pageants?
Yes, you are allowed to compete in other pageants. We ask that you not compete in a system that would ask you to give up your ALSM title.
